Akela.
Table for one
“Solo dining, Shared roots”
Rooted in both traditional Indian and contemporary dining practices, Akela offers the flexibility to sit on the floor or a chair, encouraging users to engage with their own identities. Designed for discourse, Akela invites the user to deepen the conversation about belonging, solitude, and the evolving nature of home. Rather than associating solo dining as an isolating act, Akela re frames it as an intentional and heartfelt experience. Through form and function, it becomes more than a table—a grounding tool for those in transition, celebrating the beauty of solitude and the quiet richness of
in-between cultural spaces.
